Cosmic Freedom Qigong - Level I

Chok Hiew, Ph.D. - Chapel Hill

CFQ (Chaoyi Fanhuan Qigong or Cosmic Freedom Qigong) is a traditional energy and consciousness expanding healing technique integral to TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine). Through meridian movements and meditation the mind can effectively let-go of stressful states, disease energy, and unconscious memories. The wisdom of the body is restored to activate the self-repair response and radiate a state of well-being and peace.

LEVEL I – CFQ Meridian Healing
Meridian Healing is the ancient art of rejuvenation to return to a nature-destined and problem-free state. It is a breakthrough in using body movements to calm the emotions, cleanses the vital organs, and restores healthy physiological functioning. Its approach to health is letting go.

CFQ consists of seven simple meditative and energy clearing movements (the “Hexagram Dance”) which emphasize total relaxation. These are complemented by five original meridian exercises (to “Sit, Walk & Heal”). These dynamic flowing exercises establish a transformational energy flow and consciousness shift to initiate a complete healing process. It is a simple way to eliminate negative energy forces, foster relaxation, and healing for self and for others.

Dr. Chok Hiew introduced CFQ, an innovative form of ancient Qigong founded by the renowned Qigong Master S.Y. Yap from Malaysia, to North American health professionals as a tool for self-care. As Co-Founder of CFQ he has authored five books on the subject including Energy Medicine in CFQ Healing. Dr. Chok Hiew has been a Professor of Health Psychology at the University of New Brunswick, Canada for over 30 years and is a trauma psychology expert and trainer. His research and extensive publications are on resilience and the self-healing personality. Dr. Hiew is the current President of ICP (International Council of Psychologists).
