This workshop will be a practical presentation on how to use EMDR in the treatment of panic disorder. Information will be given on what needs to be accomplished in each of the eight phases of EMDR to be effective with this population. Participants will be taught how to provide psycho-educational information using the AIP model to explain panic disorder. In panic disorder interoceptive cues become triggers for subsequent panic attacks and it is useful to view panic disorders as a phobic reaction to bodily sensations. The workshop will conclude with the presentation of a structured protocol for treatment planning and target selection.
This workshop is held in facilities which are in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Please contact us if special accommodations are required.
