Transactional Analysis
Practitioner and Certification
Become a TA Practitioner:
Learn Transactional Analysis
The TA Practitioner program, offered through the USA Transactional Analysis Association (USATAA), gives you a solid foundation in Transactional Analysis (TA)— a powerful theory of personality, communication, and human development created by Eric Berne, M.D.
TA provides clear models and language that empower clients to understand their challenges and take charge of change. Practitioners use TA in psychotherapy, education, management, and organizational development — anywhere relationships and communication matter. Some rely exclusively on TA, while others integrate it with different modalities. Its integration with Gestalt Therapy forms Redecision Therapy, also taught and certified at the Southeast Institute.
As a psychotherapy, TA addresses the full spectrum of issues — from everyday life struggles to severe disorders — with individuals, couples, families, and groups. Beyond
therapy, it enhances learning, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving.
The philosophy of TA is simple yet profound:
-
People are okay.
-
Everyone can think.
-
We can change the life decisions we made in childhood.
This approach is founded on clear contracts, open communication, and shared responsibility between the client and therapist.
The ultimate goal of TA is autonomy — living with awareness, spontaneity, and intimacy.
Join us to become a Certified TA Practitioner and bring one of the world’s clearest and most effective frameworks for growth and change into your work.
